Serves: 3-4
Sizzle: Heat 3 tbs oil/ ghee in a pressure cooker. Add 1 SPICE BAG. Add 2 sliced onions, fry until it turns golden brown along with 3-4 slit green chillis. Add 1 tbs ginger garlic paste, saute until the raw smell is gone
Stir: Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder. Add 500 grams of chicken. Stir for 5-10 mins. Add 1 tomato cut into 4 pieces, freshly chopped mint leaves & coriander leaves. Mix it and fry it for 10 mins on medium flame.
Cook: Add 2.5 cups of water and salt as per taste. Bring it to boil. Add 2 cups (300 gms) of basmati rice (washed and soaked for 30 mins) and stir it once to avoid breaking of rice. Cover the pressure cooker lid and cook this on a high flame for 1 whistle. Turn off the stove and rest for 5-10 mins
Enjoy: Gently give the rice a final stir and serve while hot with Onion/ Cucumber yoghurt raitha and salna
